Glen Hicks has been coaching since 1999 and has accumulated over 25 years of experience across grassroots, community, academy, college, and elite performance football. His diverse coaching journey has provided him with a unique breadth and depth of expertise that enables him to connect with, develop, and inspire players, coaches, and teams at every stage of their development.
Beginning his coaching career in grassroots football, Glen spent over a decade working with young players across numerous London boroughs, guiding teams from Under-9 through to Under-18 level. During this time, he also delivered extensive community outreach projects, using football as a vehicle to positively influence young people, develop character, and help shape brighter futures both on and off the pitch.
Glen possesses significant experience within the performance pathway of both the men's and women's game. He spent eight years coaching within women's football, as an academy coach and first-team coach. He has worked for over 15 years within a the men's game at a Category One Premier League Academy, supporting the development of elite young players within one of the highest standards of youth football in England.
Alongside his academy experience, Glen has spent 16 years leading and developing one of the UK's most successful college football programs, helping hundreds of players progress through the game at professional, semi-professional, academy, grassroots and onto sports industry careers.
A passionate advocate for coach development, Glen has also mentored and supported the growth of countless coaches throughout his career. His commitment to continuous learning, combined with his enthusiasm for helping others maximise their potential, has earned him a reputation as a trusted mentor, educator, and developer of people.
